DESCRIPTION:Backpacks 4 Success\nat Howard Bishop Middle School  from 2 pm – 4 pm\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe AVGD team is looking for families to join our movement in creating an attitude of gratitude.\n\n\nMake a difference and help support the Children’s Home Society’s Annual Back2School Drive. With the generous assistance of our community and corporate partners\, our goal is to build and deliver 100 Backpacks that will contribute to the 1\,000 backpacks CHS hopes to donate. \nWith the passion and teamwork of our AVGD Family Volunteers we know it will be a successful endeavor. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nEVENT OVERVIEW\n\n\n\nWe want for you to enjoy and engage your children during this event\, therefore we have taken the work out of it for you. Come prepared to “build-a-backpack” with your family. Work your way through our pre-prepped school supply stations set up with back-to-school essential supplies. You will have the opportunity to work at your pace and rotate through each station as you connect with your community\, your children and the cause. \nThere will be a dedicated activity table where you and your children can color and/or draw pictures and write notes to personalize their special donation of time. \n\n\n  \n\n\n\nCONNECT\n\nHoward Bishop Middle School is a Community Partnership School and one of CHS’ most recent additions. The model brings together high-quality academics\, health care\, counseling\, support\, mentoring and more—all where students and their families are comfortable: in their own school. \nLEARN MORE HERE \n\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\nLIFE LESSON\n\n\n\nSending kids back to school is expensive\, whether you are relatively affluent or you are straddling the poverty line. For those living paycheck to paycheck and struggling to put food on the table\, school supplies are far outside their budget. With very little effort\, we can all help make a difference in the lives of kids this school year.\n\n\n \n\n\n\nPlease Don’t Forget to Prepay\n\n\nPlease remember that all supplies will be provided for you\, all you have to do is help put a backpack together!
